A new trainline, the Western Rail Link, will reduce travel times between Slough and Heathrow to only six minutes.

Town Regeneration

Slough will look very different over the next 10 years, as the Observatory and Queensmere shopping centres are completely redeveloped into a new super mall.

The scheme promoted by the sovereign wealth fund A.D.I.A (Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, the investment fund for the Abu Dhabi Royal Family) is putting together a spectacular plan to revamp the town centre.

The plans are likely to be a mixed use development including restaurants and "new high quality public spaces" Providing a regeneration that's only ever been seen in Central London.
